A project which started when I travelled back home to discover my father had begun collecting bottle caps around the same time I had, yet neither of us had mentioned it to one another. The suit I created took inspiration from various iconography around Britishness and binge drinking culture - working both on a celebratory level, but also formally a serious one. It also represented for me a 'passing down' of behaviours both cultural and genetic. Performances in the suit involved tasks or objectives ranging from; lying on a golf course, walking from a pub at on end of the high street to the other visually impaired, and sitting in pubs waiting to be spoken to. Interactions with the public opened discussions about alcohol, fashion, Pearly Kings, illness, death, life, money, and everything in between.
